Custom designed test station for hybrid technology Engine Control Modules (ECMs). High voltage, high power, and automation requirements.

Fully Automated Mechanical Test Stand
Custom desiged mechanical test stand for hydraulic door closer. Custom-designed, 6-axis, custom software interace w/PLC control.
Fully automated test stand and adjustment table for high-end hydraulically controlled door closer device. Custom designed to adhere to National Fire Code specifications, and to allow full verfication and final adjustment prior to shipping. Table operates 12 stepper and servo motors on 4-axis of motion, and provides integrated torque and position instrumentation. All mechanical, controls, electronic, weldment, software, and PLC coding implemented by Ball Systems.

Conditioning nest for driving infant mortality out of Engine Control Modules (ECMs) prior to shipping to automotive customer. Custom probe block design, pneumatic, and mechanical interface. Custom load designs, including circuit design and custom toroidal inductor design. Conditioning nest also includes rabbit-based microcontroller which controls load switching and test operation.
Pneumatically Actuated Custom Designed High Current Probe Block
Pneumatically actuated, custom-designed probe block for testing high-current engine control module for hybrid technology vehicle.
Automated test station designed to support new hybrid power engine control module. Design required support of both high voltage and high current automated probes to provide safe and reliable operation for technicians. Design included PLC controlled pneumatic actuation, PLC software, custom wiring interface based on Virginia Panel (VPC) interconnects, etc.
