3-Phase Configurable Inductive Load Banks – Automotive Product Validation

Ball Systems provided the electrical and mechanical design of 3-Phase Configurable Inductive Load Banks to support demanding automotive product validation testing. Built with custom reactors tailored to the customer’s exact requirements, the systems accurately simulated the electrical loads produced by electric vehicles, enabling consistent and repeatable reliability testing under configurable voltage and current conditions.

To ensure safe operation and ease of integration, the design incorporated the Phase 3 Powersafe connector system. An EU variant of the solution was also produced and successfully completed the CE certification process, demonstrating Ball Systems’ ability to deliver custom test solutions that meet both customer-specific requirements and international compliance standards. Engineered for flexibility, the systems can switch between delta and wye configurations across multiple voltage levels—delivering precision, durability, and the engineering quality that define Ball Systems’ solutions for the automotive industry.
