A major aerospace and defense manufacturer’s Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Group came to us with a build-to-print cable project. The Ball Systems engineering team noticed during its initial assessment that the mechanical design could lead to electrical failure if built as specified. After prompt communication, our customer requested we spec a strain relief and modify the enclosure as needed. For this project, crisp communication between supplier and customer was essential to ensure a quick resolution as well as a permanently update the prints. After making these updates, our aerospace and defense customer has the cable adapter and prints for future builds of this build-to-print project.
