The NGS NVM Download Kit is a build-to-print solution designed to give technicians a reliable way to pull non-volatile memory (NVM) data directly from an aircraft subsystem using a secure, stable connection to a mobile test app. In practice, it serves as the bridge between the hardware on the aircraft and the software, making it faster and easier to get the information needed for diagnostics, verification, or configuration checks.

At the center of the kit is an NVM download cable. When a technician connects to the unit, this cable ensures the communication link stays steady, even when typical adapters might introduce noise, instability, or intermittent failures.
Supporting that hardware connection is a National Instruments USB-to-serial driver package, included to eliminate guesswork during setup. With the right driver stack in place, the test device recognizes the cable, allowing data to flow without the dropped packets or compatibility problems that can slow maintenance down. Paired with the embedded Eye Test software, the full system gives technicians the tools they need to read NVM logs, configuration details, stored faults, and other key performance data.
Everything comes packaged in a protective, clearly labeled case, with each component laid out for quick access. Technicians know exactly what they’re reaching for with quick setup. The result is a smoother, more efficient path from problem identification to problem resolution.
