As part of Ball Systems' quoting team, Russ helps turn a customer's design into a detailed, accurate cost estimate before a project ever gets underway. That means pricing out every component, sourcing parts, and flagging anything obsolete or hard to find early so customers know exactly what to expect on cost and lead time, with no surprises once the build is in motion.
Russ brings a drummer's sense of timing and precision to that work. Before he was pricing out projects, he spent four years in the Ball State University drumline and two summers marching with the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps.
Fun facts: Russ has completed 25 half marathons and one full marathon, reads constantly, and recently picked up golf.
Outside of work: You'll find Russ working out four to five times a week, spending as much time as he can with his four grandkids, drumming, and tending his lawn (self-described "lawn care fanatic").
He's also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, which, as he'll tell you, doesn't always go over well in the greater Indianapolis area.
Ball Systems creates, develops, and delivers custom test systems and produces comprehensive build-to-print systems for companies that craft or manufacture critical electronic or electromechanical components for aerospace and defense, automotive, and consumer appliance applications.
