WESTFIELD, IN (October 8, 2026) -- Ball Systems announced today that its Westfield, Indiana facility is now AS9100D certified, the internationally recognized quality management standard for organizations serving the aviation, space and defense industries.
“After 60 years in business, achieving AS9100D certification marks a huge step for Ball Systems,” says Ball Systems President Andy Caine. "For our aerospace and defense customers, this certification adds confidence that we have the proven processes, rigorous controls and accountability to support complex build-to-print assemblies and test systems for high-reliability programs, and to meet the demanding standards these industries require."
AS9100D incorporates aerospace-specific requirements focused on operational risk, configuration management, product safety, supplier quality, traceability and counterfeit parts prevention.
The certification further strengthens Ball Systems' established quality and compliance framework, which includes ISO 9001:2015 certification, ITAR registration, and RoHS capability. Our team also holds IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications.
