At Ball Systems, we believe that our values are critical to our own success, as well as our ability to effectively serve our customers. Each month during our all-hands company meeting we discuss two or three of our core values to help keep them top of mind for our team members. This week I want to focus on our “No Flat Tires” value, what it means to us as a company and how it positively impacts our customers.

What this means to us: We live balanced lives, but we work hard to win in the marketplace. Keeping balance in our lives (work, family, spiritual, financial, intellect, health, social) prevents us from getting out of control. Too much (or too little) focus on one area leads to a flat tire.

What this means to our customers: We believe that a healthy and happy team provides better service to our customers by ensuring there are fewer surprises or resource emergencies due to illness, marital strife, or mental strain. Team members are able to focus more intensely and clearly on customer needs when they aren’t distracted with personal challenges, so in addition to being the right thing to for our team, there is great value for our customers as well.
